The Maine Curriculum Leaders’ Association
MCLA’s mission is to support curriculum leaders and to champion curriculum, instruction, and assessment policies and practices that enhance learning.
The Maine Curriculum Leaders’ Association (MCLA) is a 501 (c) (3) membership organization incorporated in 2008. Our members impact about 140,000 Maine students (79%) in 90 school districts and two Career and Technical Centers. Members include district curriculum directors, assistant superintendents, superintendents, principals, assistant principals, special education directors, teacher leaders and representatives of five non-profits.
MCLA’s members are partners in planning, designing and disseminating products, activities, policies, positions, and projects. MCLA strives to provide our members with a voice in state education policy development and supports curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices that significantly increase student achievement. We offer conferences and workshops to all Maine educators and engage our members through regional member meetings, and education policy summits.
