The Maine Curriculum Leaders’ Association
The Maine Curriculum Leaders Association is a high-impact and supportive organization of professional educators and stakeholders focused on high-quality learning and teaching for all Maine students. The organization values integrity, collaboration, and connection. MCLA promotes equity and meaningful learning through research, information dissemination, advocacy, networking, and professional development.
MCLA’s mission is to support curriculum leaders and to champion curriculum, instruction, and assessment policies and practices that enhance learning.
MCLA’s members are partners in planning, designing and disseminating products, activities, policies, positions, and projects. MCLA strives to provide our members with a voice in state education policy development and supports curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices that significantly increase student achievement. We offer conferences and workshops to all Maine educators and engage our members through regional member meetings, and education policy summits.
The Maine Curriculum Leaders’ Association (MCLA) is a 501 (c) (3) membership organization incorporated in 2008. Our members impact about 140,000 Maine students (79%) in 90 school districts and two Career and Technical Centers. Members include district curriculum directors, assistant superintendents, superintendents, principals, assistant principals, special education directors, teacher leaders and representatives of five non-profits.
