The Maine Curriculum Leaders’ Association
MCLA’s mission is to support curriculum leaders and to champion curriculum, instruction, and assessment policies and practices that enhance learning.
The Maine Curriculum Leaders’ Association (MCLA) is a 501 (c) (3) membership organization incorporated in 2008. Our members impact about 135,000 Maine students (75%) in 81 school districts and two Career and Technical Centers. Members include curriculum directors, assistant superintendents, superintendents, principals, assistant principals, special education directors, teacher leaders and representatives of seven non-profits.
MCLA’s members are partners in planning, designing and disseminating products, activities, policies, positions, and projects. MCLA strives to provide our members with a voice in state education policy development and supports effective implementation of standards and proficiency-based curriculum, instruction, and assessment through regional member meetings, education policy summits, and conferences and workshops offered to all Maine educators.
